DTU received UNWTO.TedQual accreditation in July 2022 for two of its Tourism & Hospitality programs. UNWTO.TedQual is considered the world’s leading accreditation standard, specializing in Tourism and Hospitality. On October 22, at the 2022-2023 opening ceremony, DTU awarded 385 full and partial scholarships totaling 1.5 billion dong to incent selected incoming students in their studies. The university also reduced fees by 10.2 million dong for K28 students affected by natural disasters in Central Vietnam.

The DTU PhD program in Accountancy is based on program at Penn State University in the US. Students must complete six courses, three of which compulsory and three elective, write a general report, complete three research projects and write a doctoral dissertation. They are also required to work as assistant lecturers at the university or college level.
