The DTU Faculty of Civil Engineering first enrolled students in June 1997. Over the past twenty years, it has offered 90 courses with over 8,000 students in undergraduate and graduate Civil and Industrial Engineering, undergraduate Bridge and Road Construction and professional Civil Engineering.

The DTU Faculty of Architecture was authorized to enroll the first students in 2012 and offers three majors, in Architecture, Interior Design and Graphic Design, so that graduates can start working with skilled engineers on attractive new construction projects around the country. The potential for environmental technology and engineering studies was first recognized in 2008 by the DTU Board, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and then the Faculty of Architecture. As a result, the discipline was separated from the Faculty of Architecture to become the Faculty of Environmental Technology and Engineering.

The faculty offers two Bachelor’s degrees, in Environmental Technology and Engineering and in Natural Resource and Environmental Management. An in-depth education on the environment and methods of analyzing actual conditions and suggesting solutions to environmental pollution will be provided. Topics include pollution management, laws and policies, environmental impact evaluation and waste treatment technology.

In contrast to the Economic Law major, the Law major provides general knowledge of the laws of Economics, Finance and Commerce, as well as laws covering family, property, inheritance, crime, environmental protection, contracts, compensation, commercial disputes, complaints, denunciations, criminal investigation, human rights, citizenship, and so on. Students will broaden their reasoning capabilities and the use of persuasive legal terminology to adapt to the types of complex situations they will encounter on graduation.

The General Practitioner major is continuing to attract much interest due to developments in medicine and the increasing demand for health care workers. In contrast to Specialists, GPs are trained in many different aspects. They learn how to work at medical centers and how to treat patients at home, how to practice prevention and on-going health care, how to organize and manage community health services and, at the same time, to participate in training and research.
